| 1. I picked The Drawings of Michelangelo and Leonardo a Vinci: The Mind of the Renaissance because I think they are two of the most talented artists that ever lived. I am not an art major and still find their works very interesting and magnificent. They are also both from Italy where I would love to visit some day. 2. I was surpised to learn in the video about Michelangelo that he taught himself how to sculp. How does someone do such amazing work by teaching themselves? Another key concept I learned that he carried around 4 paintings with him and would often like to would create drawings of their next movement to get an idea of what it would look like if he were to sculped it. Some key concepts I learned while watching Leonardo da vinci were that I did not know he was a model first. I also did not realize what a man of many talents he was he had a brillant mind, seems to see something and put engineering thoughts to work. I also didn't know people thought he was a homosexual and was aquitted on horrible charges. It seems that the drawings he drew after this happened were implicating his feelings of darkness. He also considered himself uneducated which is just not right. 3. The video's relate to the readings in many ways one of which they explain a little bit about the history of artists and their works of art. But the videos go more into depth personally wise. 4.These films were more interesting to me than the others probably because I like the artists. They add depth to understanding by making key points stand out and make sure they are added in the videos.
