Module 7

1.While watching the video Architecture Science of Design, I was surprised that the scientific componet for concrete was how it sets underwater, that these conditions are ideal to bring all the elements together. I also did not realize the whirlwinds that have to be taken into consideration when building a skyscraper and that they actually have the to and fro motion to sway so the winds can not ruin the structure.
2. The videos relate to the readings alot with the Greek and Romans architecture explaining the different types of columns and how it seems that the Roman architecture is one widely used in many areas. I thought about and think the front of Albright Knox gallery used Ionic columns.
3. The films are informational on the history and brilliantness that goes into building these magnificent structures. I did forget to mention on how interesting it was in the Science of Design video explained the computer  part of the one building and that you could actually program how hot your water is for a shower. You don't realize the depth that is involved in constructing buildings and how many components have to be considered while architects are doing this.
4. I actually also watched the video Frank Gehry and although it was not my favorite one I was stunned at the structures he did come up with, it seemed as though he would build these with music in his mind and you can feel the presence of it. I found the Science of Design to be my favorite because of the more informaitonal pieces on other componets such as the electrical part and how the concrete is used in structures.
